Hong Kong | WIRED CAFE

I love cafes. After checking out all the restaurants at Hysan Place (so much variety! They all look so nice!) we finally decided on Wired Cafe on the top floor. What caught my attention was the menu at the front showcasing Dutch Baby Oven Pancake (sold on the name already!) and the 'retro'? decor. There's also a nice view of Sogo/CWB.

I love the theme of this cafe!! WIRED CAFE is a place to wire things like a cafeteria, work place, a hang out lounge, and various lifestyle. A real community rooted in city lifestyle, discovering new values, crossing cultures.. food-music-fashion-art-culture, all together.

Pretty long wait for this Dutch Baby Oven Pancake but it was pretty good. Don't really remember what it tastes like (over a month ago), but it's essentially an egg-y pancake with apples and icecream, not too keen on the biscuits. They also have salty versions of this, plus pastas, salads, etc.

Hong Kong | 五代同糖 & Paul Lafayet macarons

五代同糖 @ MK. The menu has soo much variety! I wanted to try all the desserts but could only have this green tea snowflake 雪花冰。(There's actually a nicer name for it too) Thought it would be very watery/slushy but it was quite creamy and cold with green tea flavor, red bean, white jelly, white tapioca and basil seed.

I like this milk flavor with the oreo crumbs!

Paul Lafayet @ Hysan Place - Couldn't pass up the chance to get rubber duck macaron - passion fruit flavor, usually don't like passionfruit but it was my fav out of the three (green tea and rose) 15hkd each, pretty decent price.

Recipe | Starbucks Banana Walnut Bread

I've been searching for a more dense and strong flavored banana bread and came across this Starbucks recipe here . I omitted the walnuts and vanilla and substituted 1% milk + squirt of lemon juice for the buttermilk.
Total baking time: 1 hr 15 mins.

Greyhound Cafe ~ Life is a journey, full of pictures, places, stories and good tasting recipes.
I just love this concept and was really eager to try the famous chicken wings and extensive selection of desserts. There are many branches across Bangkok (and Hong Kong) but the closest one to me was the sister brand - Another Hound Cafe at Siam Paragon. "Chic and glam Asian-Italian" food and ambiance.
